In 2017, North American Bancard launched its inaugural Dollars for Scholars Scholarship contest.
We received dozens of admissions from students about their career goals and their understanding of business and technology.
After careful review, we are proud to announce our spring scholarship winner, Timothy Smith!
Smith will be attending Tennessee College of Applied Technology in Crossville, Tennessee to study building construction. “I have always wanted to be the best in the field I chose to work in. I am excited to become a General Contractor and start my own construction business,” he said.
His passion for becoming a businessman is cultivated by continuous research on entrepreneurship. He credits Investment Advisor Dave Ramsey and Credit Counselor Rondi Lambeth as his inspirations.
“My favorite course in high school was economics and personal finance," Smith said. "With this knowledge, I believe that I am fully capable of starting a successful home renovation business.”
Smith plans to use his scholarship to help pay for college.
